HOW TO GET THERE |
The reference airport is Koh Samui (IATA code: USM), which can only be reached via Bangkok, as there are no direct flights from Italy. From Rome and Milan there are direct flights to Bangkok (IATA code: BKK) with the Thai national airline Thai Airways. The flight lasts about 11 hours. From other Italian airports, however, it is possible to fly to Bangkok, adding an intermediate stop in Arab countries such as Dubai and Abu Dhabi. Once in Bangkok, it is possible to reach Koh Samui by an internal flight with Air Asia or Thai Airways. The flight takes about 1 hour. |

Day 1: Check-in
After check-in and embarkation procedures in the late afternoon, a short half-hour sail takes you to the first stop of the cruise: Koh Tean. This is an island off the southern coast of Koh Samui, covered with lush vegetation and a mangrove forest. We drop anchor just in front of Tong Krut beach, a popular destination for day trips, but at night it lends itself very well to quiet anchoring.
Day 2
After a morning dip or a short shore excursion to one of Koh Tean's beautiful beaches, we will sail to Koh Phaluai, a large island to the south of Mu Ko Ang Thong National Park, still little frequented by mass tourism. On the northern coast we will drop anchor at a well sheltered beach. Here, as well as enjoying a good lunch on board with breathtaking views, you can spend the afternoon swimming, snorkelling, kayaking or SUPing, before reaching Mu Ko Ang Thong National Park where you will spend the night.
Day 3
This morning we head for Koh Sam Sao and Koh Thai Phlao, where we arrive just in time for a lunch stop! We will devote the afternoon to exploring these islands, off whose beaches herds of river dolphins have often been spotted. At Koh Sam Sao there is a rock arch, a natural and iconic feature connecting two rocks, large enough to pass underneath with a tender. Directly opposite are two small islands connected by a sandbank, where you can go ashore and enjoy a peaceful walk. Alternatively, you can follow a short path that leads to a vantage point with a magnificent view of a small group of islands. We recommend exploring this area, where you will find several ‘hongs’ (sea caves) between the islands, by SUP or kayak. We will end the day at Koh Nai Put, our anchorage for the night.
Day 4
On the fourth day, after a good lunch on board, we set sail for Koh Tao, which literally translates as ‘turtle island’. It is a veritable tropical paradise, a small rocky island bathed by crystal-clear waters in which to snorkel among pristine corals. We spend the night in Mango Bay, one of Koh Tao's most scenic bays. With shallow waters off the beach and a sandy seabed that gives the water a beautiful turquoise-green hue, Mango Bay is the perfect spot for lovers of water activities.
Day 5
Today you can devote the entire day on Wednesday to exploring the east coast of Koh Tao. You can enjoy picture-postcard beaches, admire pristine coral and snorkel the seabed. Equipment for water sports such as SUP, kayaking and snorkelling will be available on board the catamaran. In the early afternoon, a short one-hour sail will take you to Shark Island, where you will spend the night.
Day 6
Today we will head to Koh Phangan, an island famous throughout Thailand for its great full moon festival, held every month on Haad Rin beach. This festival is a unique experience, with music, lights, shows and costumes, which is why it attracts so many Thai women and tourists. Moving to the north-eastern coast of the island, we will find beautiful white sand beaches, quieter and less crowded, such as Thong Nai Pan Beach and Bottle Beach, the latter only accessible by sea. We will spend the night in the roadstead.
Day 7
On the last day of the cruise, Friday, we will start the day with a refreshing swim. We will then head to Haad Rin beach on Koh Phangan for lunch. In the early afternoon, we will set sail for our final destination: Koh Samui. We will arrive at Ao Chaweng, a large bay with several areas in which to anchor the boat: this is the liveliest area on the island, offering many activities, on water and on land, and entertainment. In fact, you can take advantage of it for a walk along a street full of small shops, bars and local restaurants, perfect for shopping and buying some souvenirs or relaxing with a refreshing drink before ending the cruise.
Day 8: Check-out
A good breakfast on board before returning with a short sail to the base on Koh Samui. Disembarkation is scheduled by 09:00.
The itinerary may be subject to variations based on weather conditions, safety conditions and the technical assessments of the captain of the boat. This program is intended as indicative and not binding.
