Day 1: Check-in

You will leave from Dinan, an ancient medieval village perched on a rocky promontory. Take some time to visit Duchess Anna's castle and the Clock Tower. The journey will then continue to Léhon, located in the valley of the Rance river, where you will visit the Benedictine abbey of the city. Check-in at 18:00.

Day 2

The second day you will stop in Tinténiac where you will visit the Museum of Instruments and Ancient Crafts, the beautiful church of the Holy Trinity and its beautiful houses of the fifteenth and sixteenth centuries. Your next stop is Hédé, a charming hilltop village where you will visit the Maison du Canal Museum to find out more about the river's heritage. Then you will have to undertake the stretch called "The staircase of the 11 locks" which will lead you to the hydrographic distribution point, ie the highest one.

Day 3

Today the whole day will take place in Rennes, a Breton city also loved by young people. Rich in architectural and religious heritage, it will charm you with its half-timbered houses, museums, churches, monuments, but certainly the most important thing to do is a walk in its large squares where the Parliament of Brittany with its exceptional interiors is worth a visit. . Do not miss a relaxing walk in the beautiful Thabor gardens.

Day 4

Resuming your journey along the river, you will cruise along La Vilaine, an area rich in woods, lakes and mills, and then arrive in Messac, an intermediate stop on the itinerary in Brittany. Classified as a "green tourist city", it is ideal for discovering the natural beauties of the region to be enjoyed on foot or by bicycle, along the "voie verte" routes.

Day 5

After a half day of sailing you will arrive in Redon, located at the crossroads of the River Vilaine and the Canal de Nantes à Brest. In this city, don't miss the Musée de la Batellerie de l'Ouest which traces the epic history of the canals of Brittany and the life of sailors, and the Benedictine Abbey of St. Sauveur, founded in the 9th century. Then you can choose to continue your journey either south to La Roche-Bernard, east to Nantes or west to Josselin.

Day 6

Today you will turn towards the small river Aff which will lead you to La Gacilly, a destination that you cannot miss. This pretty town is characterized by artisan shops, its wonderful botanical garden, and is home to the famous Yves Rocher cosmetics factory. Other places you can reach are Malestroit, with its typical half-timbered houses, and Josselin, with its imposing castle.

Day 7

If you choose to continue towards Nantes you will find beautiful landscapes, crossing authentic nature and beautiful medieval cities. You should definitely stop in Blain to visit its impressive 12th-century La Groulais castle and the Museum of Popular Arts and Traditions. Sailing on the Erdre river, every point is good to go ashore and visit historic centers and castles. Once in Nantes you can enjoy this beautiful city, whose main attractions not to be missed are the Castle of the Dukes of Brittany, and if you are looking for something more particular be sure to visit Les Machines de l'Île, a mechanical zoo that houses the Grand Éléphant, 12 meters high on which you can take a tour.
