The Island of Elba may seem like a small island but everywhere it hides a thousand secrets!
In its just 147 kilometers of coastline, the island offers a mild climate and a multitude of different landscapes: white Caribbean beaches, bays of colored stones, romantic fishing villages and ancient castles. You can reach it in less than an hour by hydrofoil or directly on board one of our sailing boats. An exciting holiday awaits you made up of swimming, excursions and lots of fun.
Among the numerous proposals, we at BeBlue suggest the following itinerary to be modified or expanded freely, in one or more days, according to your needs, wishes and available time, considering the fact that this island, not being very large, allows you to reach the different locations without taking too much time.
- Portoferraio, considered the capital of the island, is only 40 minutes by car from the center where the high coast and the crystalline blue sea guarantee an air capable of regenerating anyone; port of arrival and obligatory point of passage from which to start the holiday. Portoferraio, like the island that hosts it, will not leave you disappointed, if you know how to stroll through its colorful alleys and admire the variety of landscapes it can offer.
- Fetovaia: Located in the south-western part of Elba, Fetovaia is one of the most suggestive beaches on the island. Indeed, the lido is part of a magnificent natural context between golden sand, granite cliffs and the colors of the sea which, varying from intense blue to light green, to the white of the sand, offer unparalleled sensations. The seabed slowly subsides and the crystalline, turquoise and calm water makes the atmosphere of Fetovaia a real paradise.
- Wine cellars: if you want to take a complete tour of this island, you cannot fail to taste the typical Italian wines in one of the cellars on site. In recent years the Island of Elba has been the area of Tuscany that has been least taken into consideration from an oenological and wine tourism point of view, but it really deserves a visit to learn about its history through its cellars, with the usual doc tasting of wines. Here are some of them: Acquabona winery, located to the east of the island, in Porto Azzurro in Monte, we meet the Arrighi farm where the hills watch the reflections of the sun on the sea of the bay; Mazzari winery, sailing between the seas of viticulture and Elba wines we dock at Cantina Mazzarri, staying south of the island, between the sandy Gulf of Lacona and the gravelly Gulf Stella; both less than an hour from downtown.
- Cavoli: this seaside resort overlooking the Tyrrhenian Sea is ideal if you want to enjoy an aperitif overlooking the sea to end the day in relaxation.
These are just some of the many activities and numerous locations that this wonderful island has to offer, the important thing is to know how to appreciate them!
