HOW TO GET THERE

The reference airport for Guadeloupe is Pointe-à-Pitre International Airport (IATA code: PTP), located on the island of Grande-Terre. As there are no direct flights from Italy to Guadeloupe, it will be necessary to make an intermediate stopover in Paris. From here, there are several daily flights by the airlines Air France and Air Caraïbes to Pointe-à-Pitre.

Day 1: Check-in

Embarkation is scheduled at 18:00 hours at the Bas-du-Fort Marina in Pointe à Pitre, Guadeloupe. Your skipper will welcome you on board and perform a short pre-departure breafing. You will spend the first night on board the catamaran moored at the marina.

Day 2-3

After a good breakfast on board, we are ready to set sail for Marie-Galante, south of Guadeloupe. The island, famous for its breathtaking landscapes with postcard-perfect beaches and rolling hills with sugar cane plantations, is also known as the island of a hundred mills: you can admire the remains of windmills that were once used for sugar production. We will spend two days discovering the island and its most beautiful beaches, sailing through crystal-clear waters in which to dive to discover unspoilt seabeds rich in marine fauna.

Day 4-5

A last dip in the wonderful waters of Marie-Galante and, after a good breakfast on board, we set sail for the Iles des Saintes. This is a small archipelago of nine islands, discovered by Christopher Columbus in 1943, of which only two are inhabited: Terre de Bas and Terre de Haut. We will celebrate here, in the beautiful bay of Anse du Bourg, the arrival of the New Year, immersed in a unique landscape of sea and nature. There are so many corners of paradise in this small archipelago to discover in two days: from Pain de Sucre, a small bay bathed by crystal-clear waters contrasting with the green of the coconut palms in the background, to the wonderful white sand beach of Pompierre, protected from the Atlantic by the small Ilet Roche Percées.

Day 6-7

We will spend a few more hours at the Iles des Saintes, before setting sail for Dominica. In the early afternoon we will arrive in Prince Rupert Bay, just opposite the town of Portsmouth. We recommend going ashore for a stroll through the streets of the former capital and admire the former military outpost of Fort Shirley. The following morning you can take part in a guided excursion along the Indian River (optional, at a cost of € 30 per person), surrounded by lush vegetation. We will dine on board and stay overnight at anchor in southern Dominica.

Day 8-9

Today we will set anchor early in the morning and leave Dominica to sail up the west coast of Guadeloupe. After about seven hours of sailing, broken up by a stop for lunch and a couple of refreshing dips, we will arrive at îlets Pigeon: two islets near Bouillante, just opposite Malendure beach, famous for the Réserve Cousteau, a UNESCO World Heritage biosphere reserve. This evening we will relax on board with dinner under the stars, overnight at anchor. The following day we will sail along the coast of Basse Terre and devote the day to relaxing in the sun and water activities, including snorkelling to discover the seabed and swimming among a thousand colourful fish.

Day 10

With a short sail today, we reach La Désirade, one of the territorial islands of Guadeloupe, off Grande-Terre. It is a wild-looking, unspoilt island with breathtaking views and unspoilt nature that makes it a unique place. The picture-postcard beaches of crystal-clear sand and covered with the classic coconut palms, typical of the most enchanting tropical islands, are all located on the south coast and are à Galets, Fifi, Souffleur and Petit-Rivière. We spend the night in the roadstead.

Day 11

At a more relaxed and leisurely pace, we resume sailing for the nearby Ilet du Gosier, a small islet where we will spend this last day between snorkelling sessions, swimming and relaxing in the sun. We drop anchor in the bay and in five minutes by tender we reach the beach, where there is also a small restaurant, great for a Creole lunch! In the early afternoon we will set sail for a short sail back to the Bas du Fort marina in Pointe à Pitre, where we will spend our last evening together.

Day 12: Check-out

Disembarkation is expected by 09:00 after a last breakfast all together on board. For those who choose to return during the day with an international flight, usually scheduled after 17:00, we recommend that you leave your luggage at the base and enjoy the beautiful beaches nearby until early afternoon.
