This is an example itinerary suggested by the BeBlue skippers who are experts in the navigation area. The route can be planned on the needs of the group before departure or during navigation.
Check-in available in the afternoon at the Charter offices in the Embarkation Marina. After finishing the quick procedures of taking over the boat (technical check-in) and boarding the galley, you can enjoy an aperitif and dinner near the Marina or alternatively set sail immediately and enjoy the first sailing.
Leaving from Marina we head for Genoa, without forgetting to plan a stop in Recco to buy the famous cheese focaccia. Afterwards, we proceed towards the Ligurian capital where we suggest the ones who have never visited the city to stop for the night at Porto Antico. This Marina is located in the heart of the old city between the aquarium (the biggest in Italy) and the “caruggi”, little alleys animated by day and night with small shops and typical restaurants where you can have a typical fish dinner.
On the next day, we set sail towards Gallinara Island: a Marine Reserve characterized by jagged coastlines covered by the typical essences of the “macchia mediterranea”. The island, surrounded by crystal clear waters, is host to one of the biggest nesting colonies of royal seagulls in the Ligurian Sea. In the evening we arrive in Imperia, right on time for a sunset walk at Porto San Maurizio.
The following day is dedicated to Imperia. Traversing its roads, we can distinguish the two souls that constitute its essence: you can still notice the differences between Oneglia and Porto Maurizio, the first east and the second west of the stream Impero. Oneglia is the major part of Imperia, dominated by Piazza Dante, from which the most modern and crowded streets of the centre branch out. They are characterized by a Piedmontese architecture that witnesses the past reign of the Savoia family.
We take off in the early morning after a rich breakfast in one of the famous little bars of the port. Following the way to San Remo, we anchor in the inlet of Ospedaletti for a bath. From there, and in less than thirty minutes, we enter the French territory: we continue up to Cap Ferrat and explore all the coves of this verdant peninsula. At night, we can visit the lively Nizza. Fish dinner and good drinks in the city centre.
During our route to go back to the Marina we can drop the anchor in a bay near Porto Maurizio, on the contrary, clings to the rocky walls of a promontory going down to the coast. The alleys, called caruggi, and the lanes or “creuze”, are thickly intertwined among the ancient palaces and the fishermen’s houses, creating a fascinating network overlooking the sea.
The journey to the base is still a long one, so we recommend an early wake-up call to still have time for a quick swim in the middle of the sea with the magnificent Ligurian coastline in the background. Return to port is scheduled for late afternoon.
Disembarkation is scheduled in the early morning after breakfast.
The itinerary may be subject to variations based on weather conditions, safety conditions and the technical assessments of the captain of the boat. This program is intended as indicative and not binding.
