This is an example of a sailing route as suggested by BeBlue’s most expert skippers of this area. The itinerary can be modified based on crew’s specific request before sailing or during the cruise.
Day 1: Check-in
Once the quick boat takeover and galley procedures are over, you can enjoy a delicious dinner on board or on the island where there are numerous seafood restaurants and some of the best nightlife in the Bahamas, as well as excellent shops for souvenirs of local handicrafts.
Day 2
The next morning you finally cast off your moorings to sail to Great Guana Cay, where you will drop anchor in Fishers Bay. In Great Guana you cannot miss the Nippers Bar famous for its pork roast. In the afternoon you can enjoy the beautiful white sandy beach of Great Guana Cay for as long as you like, perfect for long walks, relaxing on the beach, snorkelling or scuba diving.
Day 3
After breakfast you can dive and swim with a thousand colourful fish, and after lunch you can hoist the sails to Treasure Cay, which is considered by National Geographic magazine to be one of the most beautiful beaches in the world! Here the sand is unbelievably fine and white. You also have all the amenities you could wish for, excellent bars and restaurants, tennis courts, golf clubs, swimming pools and quaint little shops.
Day 4
After breakfast open the mainsail and jib by heading for Man of War: a quiet, typical fishing and seafaring village, very wealthy and well-preserved; here the Albury family, famous for their working boats in the Bahamas, continues to build fine boats in the town. In addition to sightseeing, you can enjoy swimming and snorkelling among the Caribbean fish before enjoying an excellent dinner in one of the town's many taverns.
Day 5
Today set sail to discover the crystal-clear waters of Tahiti Beach, where the sea is completely transparent with shallow waters and soft sand! After lunch, head for Hope Town, one of the most picturesque and typical harbours in the Bahamas. Dominating the town is the old red and white striped lighthouse, which is much photographed: it is one of the last three lighthouses still fuelled by kerosene. From there you can enjoy incredible views and colours of all the places you have visited so far. Hope Town is a charming settlement with a wide selection of shops, restaurants, historical museums and houses. A true afternoon of life flowing peacefully in the Bahamas.
Day 6
Set sail early this morning to circumnavigate the south side of Abaco Island and land on a deserted island where you can spend the day lying on the beach or snorkelling among the coral reefs and a myriad of colourful fish and sea turtles - it will feel like swimming in an aquarium. There is nothing better than having an island all to yourself! Spend the evening sipping a cocktail at sunset while enjoying the beautiful colours offered by the Abaco Island Marine Park...
Day 7
Have a good breakfast and head for Marsh Harbour, stopping first at Matt Lowes Cay where you can swim once more in the Caribbean Sea before returning to base for dinner. Here you can party and spend the night in some typical local bars listening to Caribbean music by local bands and sipping rum...
Day 8: Check-out
Disembarkation is scheduled for the morning after breakfast at 09:00.
The itinerary might be subject to variations due to weather conditions, safety and technical evaluations of the Skipper of the boat. This programming is intended as indicative and non-binding.
